Prices in Marbella are now lower

It seems that the economy is finally taking a turn for the better. That’s what the statistics seem to be  showing at least and maybe why many of the main tourist locations in Spain are becoming a bit more expensive, rather than cheaper. Well, at least the classy, posh places seem to be more expensive at first glance.

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza, is the now officially the most expensive destination in Spain with an average price of €286 per room, per night. But hot on the heels is the delightful town of  Marbella, now averaging €190 per night for double room in one of its classy hotels. The data has been provided by the Trivago Hotel Price Index (THPI).

But when you look at the figures closely, you see that Marbella has in fact actually reduced its prices somewhat, on average over last years prices by a whole 3 percent. But that is just Marbella. Other resorts spread throughout the Spanish costa have gone up quite considerably over their 2012 prices. La Manga has upped its average hotel room price a whopping 22 percent over the month of July 2013 compared to July 2012 and is now the third most expensive location in Spain at €167 per night.

Next on the list is Salou coming in at €166 per night, Costa Adeje at €157, and the Playa de Palma at €146. The star of the show though in terms of price increase has been Alcudia, which has gone up 28 percent year on for July 2013. Now that is what you call a price increase!

All of this makes good news for those traveling to Marbella over the summer of 2013. The hotel offering is massive, the largest for a resort of this size in the whole of Spain with a large amount of 4 and 5 star hotels to choose from that offer fantastic accommodation and facilities. Add to that the beautiful surroundings, fantastic food, great beaches and wonderful culture and you have the perfect  classy holiday destination.

Along with this, keep in mind that the cost of airport transfers has also gone down slightly over the last few years and the vehicle types and service is of the highest standard you will find anywhere, so go ahead and book your transfer to Marbella now!
